Just Before Nightfall

Charles Masson, a married advertising executive, has an affair with Laura, the wife of his best friend. During one of their secret meetings, Laura dies during a sadomasochistic game. Since the police are in the dark about the circumstances of the crime, Charles could actually be calm. But his conscience is increasingly bothering him, he is beginning to suffer from insomnia and increasingly feels the need to confess his crime to someone. When he finally brings himself to do so, the result is different than expected...
